Worship, Service and Faith Opportunities for Adults
Sunday School is at 9:30 am every Sunday and is for adults too! Our Sunday School classes are for all ages and provide a relaxed atmosphere for fellowship and opportunities to ask questions.
There are presently two Adult Sunday School classes that cover a wide range of ages. These classes not only meet on Sunday mornings, but they also have activities and get-togethers throughout the year.
Ambassador Class: All adults welcome of all ages – meeting in the Education Center
Harmony Class: All ladies welcome – meeting in the prayer room
The Morning Worship service. Sunday at 10:45 AM, is the powerhouse service of the week with singing, worship, and a faith building Bible Study and Challenge from the Word of God that helps the child of God to grow and develop.
To re-energize in the things of the Lord, we also have our mid- week Wednesday Prayer and Bible Study service on at 7:00 PM.
For Women
Women’s Bible study usually meets the third Saturday of the month with a brunch and Bible study. Our Women’s Bible studies look at what the Word of God says about the role of Women in families, the church, and throughout their lives along with timely topics.
Ministry Opportunities for both Men and Women
Local Missions Outreach Projects (LMOPS) – is a local mission outreach group of the Altoona Bible Church. LMOPS welcomes anyone to serve the Lord while enjoying Christian fellowship during different activities throughout the year such as the Absolutely Free Car Wash and Christmas Parade which get the gospel out in unique ways where people are at.
Choir – The church choir is made of men, women and young people in the assembly who enjoy praising and worshipping the Lord in song. Each Sunday morning the choir shares in song during the worship service.
All Church Caroling – For Everyone! Each December we board the Bus and go to many of our shut-ins homes and to rest homes and sing Christmas carols. Afterwards we fellowship together with food and hot chocolate! It’s amazing how this ministry touches those that we minister to.
Kid’s Club Dads/Lads and Pals/Gals is an opportunity to mentor a young person that attends Kid’s Club. Participants in this ministry encourage and pray for their Lad or Gal, as well as participate in activities together with their Lad or Gal. It is a wonderful experience to help a young person grow in the Lord.
